Monarch Coyotes (Louisville, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Fairview Knights (Boulder, CO), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Monarch upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Prairie View (Henderson, CO) to battle the Thunderhawks in a test on Tuesday, May 7. The Thunderhawks come into the test with a record of 2-9. Prairie View lost 10-4 in their recent non-league game against Legacy (Broomfield, CO)

The Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Mead (Longmont, CO). The Mavericks go into the non-league game with a 11-2 record. In their last game, Mead was edged by Silver Creek (Longmont, CO), 2-0, in a league game.
