Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 13-11 record. They take the field next when they host South Spencer for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Apollo will face a Rebels squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN). The Rebels record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Larue County falls to 20-9 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Webster County (Dixon, KY) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 19-9. Webster County lost 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Henderson County (Henderson, KY)
