In Saturday's non-league contest, the Cascade Cadets (Clayton, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN), by a margin of 7-1.

With the triumph, Cascade moves its record to 17-3 on the year. The Cadets travel to New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN) to play the Cougars in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 4. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 13-2. New Prairie won 5-0 in their recent non-league contest against Griffith (Griffith, IN)

In their next game, the Brickies play the Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN) in a Northwest Crossroads contest, on Monday, May 6. Hobart will attempt to move on its 13-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 16-6 record after their 6-5 league win over Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN).
