The Coon Rapids Cardinals routed the host DeLaSalle Islanders softball squad by a count of 15-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Cardinals (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Royals go into the Northwest Suburban battle with a 14-1 record. In their last bout, Rogers toppled St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN), 12-0, in a non-league bout.
The Islanders now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host St. Anthony Village for a Tri-Metro bout on Tuesday, May 7. DeLaSalle will confront a Huskies squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Anoka (Anoka, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 7-3.
