Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dayton Christian WARRIORS (Miamisburg, OH), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Lumberjacks now own a 3-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroe for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Oakwood will face a Hornets squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Bishop Fenwick (Franklin, OH). The Hornets record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, Dayton Christian falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to West Liberty-Salem (West Liberty, OH) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. West Liberty-Salem lost 15-3 in their recent league challenge against Fairbanks (Milford Center, OH)
