Wheaton North Falcons (Wheaton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they host Batavia for a DuKane challenge on Monday, May 6. Wheaton North will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-17.

With the loss, Hinsdale South falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Hornets host Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a West Suburban - Gold challenge on Monday, May 6. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 3-10. Berwyn/Cicero Morton lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL)
