LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Morton Potters (Morton, IL), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 25-5 record. They take the field next when they host Rantoul for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6.

With the loss, Morton falls to 13-12 on the campaign. The Potters travel to Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to battle the Rockets in a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Limestone won 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Canton (Canton, IL)
