The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN) and the visiting Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN), saw Lowell's softball squad nip Rensselaer Central by a count of 7-6.

The Red Devils now sport a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they host Hobart for a Northwest Crossroads match on Wednesday, May 8. Lowell will face a Brickies squad coming off a 10-3 league win over Munster (Munster, IN). The Brickies record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, Rensselaer Central falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Bombers host Tri-County (Wolcott, IN) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league match on Monday, May 6. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 10-1. Tri-County won 13-0 in their recent league match against Frontier (Chalmers, IN)
