Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Williamsville for a Sangamo challenge on Tuesday, May 7.

With the loss, Tri-Valley falls to 15-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, IL) to battle the Railsplitters in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Railsplitters enter the challenge with a record of 10-16. Lincoln won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Normal West (Normal, IL)
