The Sandy Valley Cardinals routed the host Minerva Lions softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Cardinals (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Bellaire (Bellaire, OH). The Big Reds go into the non-league battle with a 8-16 record. In their last battle, Bellaire was routed by Shadyside (Shadyside, OH), 7-1, in a non-league battle.
The Lions now sport a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Beaver for a non-league battle on Monday, May 6. Minerva will meet a Beavers squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Wellsville (Wellsville, OH). The Beavers record now stands at 14-7.
