The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ) and the host Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ), saw Mount St. Dominic Academy's softball squad achieve victory over Payne Tech by a count of 12-2.
The Lions now sport a 17-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glen Ridge for a non-league match on Monday, May 6. Mount St. Dominic Academy will face a Ridgers squad coming off a 12-3 league win over Verona (Verona, NJ). The Ridgers record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Payne Tech falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Lions host Columbia (Maplewood, NJ) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Monday, May 6. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 11-6.
