Wonewoc-Center Wolves (Wonewoc, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Nekoosa Papermakers (Nekoosa, WI), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolves now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they host Hillsboro for a Scenic Bluffs challenge on Monday, May 6.

With the loss, Nekoosa falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Papermakers host Wisconsin Dells (Wisconsin Dells, WI) to battle the Chiefs in a South Central challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Wisconsin Dells lost 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Adams-Friendship (Adams, WI)
