In Saturday's non-league contest, the River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Victory Christian Academy Lions (Valparaiso, IN), by a margin of 14-4.
With the triumph, River Forest moves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Ingots host Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN) to play the Fighting Eagles in a Greater South Shore contest on Monday, May 6. The Fighting Eagles come into the contest with a record of 2-14. Lake Station Edison lost 23-18 in their recent non-league contest against Gary West Side (Gary, IN)
In their next game, the Lions play the Kankakee Trinity Academy (Kankakee, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 18. Victory Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record.
