Maine High School Baseball - Thornton Academy defeats Marshwood

May 4, 2026: Saco, ME 04072

The Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) baseball trounced the visiting Marshwood Hawks (South Berwick, ME), 10-2 in Monday's league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sanford for a Class A South challenge on Tuesday, May 5. Thornton Academy will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 15-1 league win over Windham (Windham, ME). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Marshwood drops to 0-4 on the year. The Hawks host Scarborough (Scarborough, ME) to clash with the Red Storm in a Class A South challenge on Tuesday, May 5. The Red Storm go into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Scarborough won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Biddeford (Biddeford, ME)
