Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, SC), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Lakewood upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season.
With the defeat, Georgetown falls to 17-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Gilbert (Gilbert, SC) to battle the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, May 7. The Indians come into the test with a record of 9-10. Gilbert won 10-2 in their recent non-league test against Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC)
