California High School Baseball - South holds off Polytechnic

South Spartans (Torrance, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Polytechnic Panthers (Pasadena, CA), 4-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, South upgrades its record to 18-11 on the season. The Spartans travel to El Rancho (Pico Rivera, CA) to battle the Dons in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 10. The Dons come into the test with a record of 15-12. El Rancho won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Walnut (Walnut, CA)
With the defeat, Polytechnic falls to 10-8 on the season.
