The Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA) lacrosse tipped the visiting Oxford Hornets (Oxford, PA), 9-8 in Thursday's non-league outing.
With the win, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vanguards host Coatesville (Coatesville, PA) to battle the Red Raiders in a Ches-Mont outing on Tuesday, May 10. The Red Raiders go into the outing with a record of 3-0.
With the defeat, Oxford drops to 0-1 on the season.
