Virginia High School Soccer - Meridian nudges Lightridge

Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Lightridge Bolts (Aldie, VA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs confront the Manassas Park Cougars (Manassas Park, VA) in a Northwestern challenge, on Tuesday, May 10. Meridian will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 6-5 record after their 1-0 league win over Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA).
With the loss, Lightridge drops to 1-10 on the season. The Bolts host Loudoun Valley (Purcellville, VA) to meet the Vikings in a Dulles test on Wednesday, May 11. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 11-2.
