In Thursday's non-league contest, the Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) softball team the visiting Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH), by a margin of 3-1.

With the triumph, Austintown-Fitch moves its record to 18-2 on the year. The Falcons host Howland (Warren, OH) to play the Tigers in a All-American contest on Tuesday, May 10. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 9-8.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Hubbard Eagles (Hubbard, OH) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, May 10. Mathews will attempt to move on its 15-4 season record.
