The Chelmsford Lions the visiting Haverhill Hillies softball squad by a count of 7-5 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Lions (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Andover (Andover, MA). The Golden Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Andover by Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA), 16-0, in a league battle.
The Hillies now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Dracut for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 10. Haverhill will meet a Middies squad coming off a 15-3 non-league win over Lawrence (Lawrence, MA). The Middies record now stands at 4-7.
