In Thursday's non-league contest, the Santa Monica Vikings (Santa Monica, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Edgewood Lions (West Covina, CA), by a margin of 23-0.

With the triumph, Santa Monica moves its record to 13-9 on the year. The Vikings host Savanna (Anaheim, CA) to play the Rebels in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 10. The Rebels come into the contest with a record of 15-9. Savanna won 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA)
