In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Newton South Lions softball team scored a nice 17-5 win over the Waltham Hawks.
Coming up next, the Lions battle the St. Mary's Spartans (Lynn, MA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, May 6. Newton South will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 9-3 record after their 6-1 league win over Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA).
