The Struthers Wildcats (Struthers, OH) softball routed the visiting Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH), 6-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats (7-11) will now prepare for their bout against Hubbard (Hubbard, OH). The Eagles go into the Northeast Eight Athletic bout with a 11-3 record. In their last bout, Hubbard was routed by Lakeview (Cortland, OH), 5-3, in a league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Jackson-Milton for a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet bout on Friday, May 6. Springfield will confront a Bluejays squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Western Reserve (Berlin Center, OH). The Bluejays record now stands at 11-7.
