In Friday's non-league game, the host Crete-Monee Warriors baseball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Beecher Bobcats.
The Warriors (16-6) will now prepare for their game against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Blazing Trojan go into the Southland game with a 10-9 record. In their last game, Bloom tipped Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL), 16-1, in a league game.
The Bobcats (12-12) will now prepare for their game against Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL). The Panthers go into the River Valley game with a 10-8 record. In their last game, Gardner-South Wilmington tipped Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL), 7-1, in a league battle.
