In Friday's non-league game, the host Oxford Wolverines baseball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Masuk Panthers.
The Wolverines (8-7) will now prepare for their game against Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Indians go into the Naugatuck Valley - Copper game with a 5-9 record. In their last game, Watertown was edged by Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT), 14-2, in a league game.
The Panthers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bethel (Bethel, CT). The Wildcats come into the Southwest - Colonial contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Bethel got by New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT), 13-1, in a non-league contest.
