In Friday's non-league game, the host Mattoon Greenwave baseball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Altamont Indians.
The Greenwave (12-4) will now prepare for their match against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs go into the match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Mahomet-Seymour edged Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL), 6-5, in a non-league match.
