The Auburn Maroons the visiting East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans softball squad by a final score of 6-2 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Maroons (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, NY). The Hornets go into the Section 3 Central Counties - National battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Fayetteville-Manlius was routed by Liverpool (Liverpool, NY), 8-1, in a league battle.
The Spartans now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Marcellus for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 6. East Syracuse-Minoa will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-0.
