Concord-Carlisle Patriots (Concord, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton South for a Dual County Large challenge on Saturday, May 6.

With the loss, Wayland falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Waltham (Waltham, MA) to face the Hawks in a Dual County Small challenge on Monday, May 8. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-8.
