Windham Eagles (Windham, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Deering for a Class A South challenge on Monday, May 8. Windham will battle a Rams squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Cheverus (Portland, ME). The Rams record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Gorham falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) to battle the Trojans in a Class A South challenge on Monday, May 8. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Thornton Academy won 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Noble (Berwick, ME)
