The Ludlow Panthers softball team scored 20 runs and limited the visiting Newport Wildcats to 4 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Ludlow moves its record to 4-19 on the year. The Panthers travel to Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY) to clash with the Black Devils in a non-league game on Saturday, May 6. The Black Devils come into the game with a record of 1-10. Robertson County lost 18-3 in their recent non-league game against Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 8. Newport will attempt to move on its 0-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 5-9 record after their 22-0 non-league loss to Scott (Covington, KY).
