The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the McPherson Bullpups (McPherson, KS) and the visiting South Cougars (Salina, KS), saw McPherson's softball squad nip South by a count of 3-2.

The Bullpups now sport a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andale for a non-league match on Monday, May 8. McPherson will face a Indians squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mulvane (Mulvane, KS). The Indians record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, South falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Andover Central (Andover, KS) to face the Jaguars in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 9. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 6-5. Andover Central won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Blue Valley Southwest (Overland Park, KS)
