The Breese Central Cougars baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights to 0 in the Cougars non-league win on Monday.

The Cougars now hold a 14-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Alton-Wood River for a test on Tuesday, May 6. Breese Central will play a Oilers team coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Freeburg (Freeburg, IL). The Oilers record now stands at 7-16.

With the defeat, Metro-East Lutheran drops to 13-8 on the year. The Knights travel to Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 7-16. Springfield Southeast lost 14-0 in their recent league test against Glenwood (Chatham, IL)
