The Lafayette Central Catholic Knights baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Clinton Prairie Gophers to 8 in the Knights non-league win on Monday.

The Knights now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caston for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6. Lafayette Central Catholic will clash with a Comets team coming off a 8-7 league win over Winamac (Winamac, IN). The Comets record now stands at 13-5.

With the defeat, Clinton Prairie drops to 9-4 on the year. The Gophers host Delphi Community (Delphi, IN) to clash with the Oracles in a Hoosier Heartland test on Tuesday, May 6. The Oracles go into the test with a record of 10-6. Delphi Community won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN)
