Maine High School Baseball - Mattanawcook defeats Orono

The Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) baseball trounced the visiting Orono Riots (Orono, ME), 9-3 in Monday's league challenge.

The Lynx now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Calais for a Class C North challenge on Wednesday, May 7. Mattanawcook will clash with a Blue Devils team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-2.

The Riots (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Tigers come into the Class C North outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Dexter tipped Penquis Valley (Milo, ME), 30-8, in a league outing.
