Fans at Monday's league battle between the Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) and the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), saw Kuemper's soccer squad hold off Denison-Schleswig by a count of 1-0.

The Knights (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Creston (Creston, IA). The Panthers enter the Hawkeye 10 battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Creston was edged by Glenwood (Glenwood, IA), 8-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Monarchs battle the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats (Glidden, IA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 8. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-11 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Gilbert (Gilbert, IA).
