Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL) and the visiting Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), saw Maine East's soccer squad knock off Proviso West by a count of 4-1.

The Blue Demons (4-16) will now prepare for their battle against Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL). The Cougars enter the Central Suburban - North battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Vernon Hills tipped Maine West (Des Plaines, IL), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Panthers battle the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Proviso West will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 5-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL).
