Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Urbana University Illineks (Urbana, IL), 6-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Monticello moves its record to 22-2 on the campaign. The Sages travel to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL) to clash with the Saints in a Illini Prairie test on Thursday, May 8. The Saints come into the test with a record of 11-8. Bloomington Central Catholic won 7-2 in their recent non-league test against St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL)

The Illineks now sport a 4-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. Urbana University will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-16.
