The Hempfield Area Spartans lacrosse squad scored 13 points and limited the host West Allegheny Indians to 0 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now hold a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they host Plum for a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge on Tuesday, May 6. Hempfield Area will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 17-3 league loss to Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, West Allegheny falls to 2-10 on the year. The Indians travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 7. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Beaver lost 18-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Hickory (Hermitage, PA)
