Illinois High School Softball - Villa Grove edged by Arcola

The Villa Grove Blue Devils softball squad (Villa Grove, IL), was edged 11-10 in Monday's league contest with the visiting Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL)

With the triumph, Arcola improves its record to 9-10 on the year. The Purple Riders travel to Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL) to face the Knights in a Lincoln Prairie contest on Wednesday, May 7. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 10-9. Blue Ridge won 13-0 in their recent league contest against Heritage (Broadlands, IL)

The Blue Devils now hold a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Argenta-Oreana for a Lincoln Prairie contest on Thursday, May 8. Villa Grove will face a Bombers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 12-11.
