The Elmwood Royals triumphed over the host Arlington Red Devils softball squad by a count of 20-4 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Royals meet the Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) in a Blanchard Valley challenge, on Wednesday, May 7. Elmwood will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Black Knights enter the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 11-1 league win over Vanlue (Vanlue, OH).
The Red Devils (3-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Ottoville (Ottoville, OH). The Big Green enter the non-league challenge with a 1-12 record. In their last challenge, Ottoville was routed by Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH), 19-2, in a non-league challenge.
