In Monday's non-league match, the host St. Francis Mariners softball team scored a nice 14-1 win over the Augustine Prep Lions.
The Mariners (5-7) will now prepare for their match against Brookfield Academy (Brookfield, WI). The Blue Knights come into the Midwest Classic match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Brookfield Academy notched a victory over St. Catherine's (Racine, WI), 2-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Lions confront the Cudahy Packers (Cudahy, WI) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, May 7. Augustine Prep will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
