In Monday's non-league match, the host Linton-Stockton Miners softball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Bloomington South Panthers.
The Miners (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Shakamak (Jasonville, IN). The Lakers go into the Southwestern Indiana match with a 5-7 record.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 6. Bloomington South will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Cardinals go into the match with a 7-5 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to North Knox (Bicknell, IN).
