Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Madison Cubs (Madison, IN), 14-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Charlestown upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Pirates travel to Corydon Central (Corydon, IN) to play the Panthers in a Mid-Southern game on Tuesday, May 6. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 11-3.

The Cubs now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Salem for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 7.
