Oppenheim-Ephratah Hawks (St. Johnsville, NY) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fort Plain Hilltoppers (Fort Plain, NY), 6-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Oppenheim-Ephratah improves its record to 1-0 on the year.
The Hilltoppers now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Dolgeville for a non-league game on Tuesday, May 6. Fort Plain will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Adirondack (Boonville, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-4.
