Illinois High School Softball - St. Bede tipped by Newark

In Monday's non-league test, the Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL) softball squad the host St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL), by a tally of 8-6.

Next, the Norsemen clash with the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) in a non-league test, on Thursday, May 8. Newark will attempt to advance on its 11-14 season record. The Coalers go into the test with a 17-7 record after their 13-4 league win over Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL).

The Bruins (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Putnam County (Granville, IL). The Panthers go into the Tri-County test with a 13-11 record. In their last test, Putnam County held off Princeville (Princeville, IL), 8-0, in a non-league test.
