The North Daviess Cougars softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Shakamak Lakers to 1 in the Cougars league win on Monday.

The Cougars now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shoals for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 7. North Daviess will encounter a Jug Rox team coming off a 14-3 league loss to Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN). The Jug Rox record now stands at 0-8.

With the loss, Shakamak moves to 5-8 on the season. The Lakers host Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN) to encounter the Miners in a Southwestern Indiana battle on Tuesday, May 6. The Miners come into the battle with a record of 8-6. Linton-Stockton lost 7-6 in their recent league battle against North Daviess (Elnora, IN)
