In Monday's non-league match, the host Rochester Rockets softball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Williamsville Bullets.

The Rockets (16-3) will now prepare for their match against MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Generals go into the Central State Eight match with a 0-15 record. In their last match, MacArthur was nipped by Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL), 19-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Bullets battle the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) in a Sangamo match, on Tuesday, May 6. Williamsville will attempt to better on its 14-10 season record. The Vipers go into the match with a 4-16 record after their 25-7 league win over Riverton (Riverton, IL).
