The Russell Rustlers triumphed over the visiting Fergus Golden Eagles softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Rustlers meet the Gallatin Raptors (Bozeman, MT) in a AA Eastern challenge, on Tuesday, May 5. Russell will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Raptors enter the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 9-8 league loss to Skyview (Billings, MT).
The Golden Eagles (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Great Falls (Great Falls, MT). The Bison enter the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Great Falls was routed by Billings West (Billings, MT), 12-2, in a league challenge.
