Minnesota High School Softball - Laporte bounces McGregor

May 5, 2026: McGregor, MN 55760

The Laporte Wildcats softball team scored 21 runs and held the host McGregor Mercuries to 17 in the Wildcats non-league win on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cass Lake-Bena for a Upper Mississippi battle on Friday, May 8.

With the loss, McGregor moves to 1-15 on the season. The Mercuries host Two Harbors (Two Harbors, MN) to confront the Agates in a Polar battle on Thursday, May 14. The Agates come into the battle with a record of 4-6.
