The York Golden Knights (Retsof, NY) softball routed the host Dansville Mustangs (Dansville, NY), 24-4 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Golden Knights (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Perry (Perry, NY). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 0-9 record. In their last bout, Perry was routed by Keshequa (Nunda, NY), 8-0, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Dansville falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Haverling (Bath, NY) to battle the Rams in a Livingston County Division I challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Haverling won 10-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, NY)
